Seems time I do a build page (sorry if this is not the right section Kenny)

So I have a 1996 sc2, last of the first gens but obd2 which is nice.
Black interior, sunroof, power option, cruise etc.
Goal for the car, DD for the winter. Build motor, break it in. Low boost.

First thing I did when I got it was take all the panels off and clean up any rust. Tremclad and gravel guarded it. Then put my green body on.
Also ball joints were done so re and re those with some nice TRWs.

Needs some cleaning up, used stock battery holder. Welded some bolts in to hold it down and welded a bolt in for ground.

Image
first/ second gen dogdone left, sda middle (international blue lol), and 3rd gen right.

Image
Messy engine bay. Needs a/c delete and some major cleaning, wiring wires and routing etc.

Image
Rear bar.

Sprints, ya they hurt my inner fenders pretty good.

Got some goodies today. Rear hub spacers and front strut spacers. The sprints are just too low for where I live so I got these some spacers that go above the strut to give a little height. If its enough than the sprints stay, if not get something with a little less drop.

Have Intrax now need to get some new pics. Not as low, ride great very nice product.

So need to get more pics but current mod list.
Pioneer HU with Pioneer speakers all round, 10" mtx sub on rear deck.
92 header with full 2 1/2" exhaust, highflow cat,two resonators and ss muffler.

WAI with k&n filter.
Wateryboy solid tam and sda dogbones
Battery relocated to the trunk.

So doing a little here and there. Collecting more parts.

Installed a vacuum block, made the geo tb a bit easier to install. Tapped into the line going to the brake booster with a t.

Wired up my wide band, oil pressure and boost gauge, although the wide band isn't working grr, maybe I did not calibrate it properly. Made a little fuse panel, its powered by a relay which is switched on when the key is. So I can run my gauges and other accessories from it and not worry about killing my battery. Once wide band is working will clean up wires lol.

Got an Act clutch 4 puck mmm, solid tam and head studs today.

My timing cover, tie plate, pretty head, manifold. And I have a smaller inter-cooler but I am thinking of running this one vertically and a half ran beside it. Thoughts?

And then I has this massive vgt turbo, but I am not aiming for 70 psi so I am definitely not using it on this car. I'm not sure even a sleeved block and o-ringed head would take that, our head-gasket would still get pushed out.

Looking good... keep up the work. Not too many people still doing this kind of stuff on here any more.

By the way, what did you do to the end of the shifter cables?

When the shifter is done I will get some more pics, but i used rod ends. Got them from princess auto.
Save as much of the cable as possible by cutting off plastic first, then cut the little notched end off.
Thread 1/4-28 onto the cable and use lock nuts on all arm connections when done!

Biggest thing I am waiting for is I need to get some forged rods.. but got to come up with the 400 at once lol.

mm new shift, have to get used to this. Went from stock to a fairly short shift, very weird. But awesome.

This morning my old cables gave me trouble for the last time!
