ok so i have a question my current catback exhaust set up will not work with my rear bumper on my new bodykit as it will not look proper with the cut out for the muffler on it as its for a round muffler and mine is an oval, so i was wondering i have the 2.5" thermal r/d catback exhaust and was wondering if i could switch the muffler part to one of two sized mufflers and it'd still work i'm not looking for performance gains as we all know my car is not set up for performance but i figured i'd post it in here as its still performance related the two muffler sizes i'm looking at and wondering if it'd work are:

1st one: tip diameter: 96mm, pipe diameter: 60mm

2nd one: tip diameter: 120mm, pipe diameter: 75mm

would either of these work with the 2.5" piping and not hurt my car in anyway please let me know and would it just be a matter of cutting the thermal muffler off and welding the new one onto the catback piping?

thanks for the help =)

bodykits are modify-able.. you could always cut the opening to fit your current exhaust, and not have to worry about buying a new exhaust.

just a suggestion?

60mm = just under 2 3/8"
75mm = just under 3"

You would need a flange either way to do this properly. Why not get a muffler that has the proper size or do what Kenny said. Maybe post a pic of teh rear bumper so we can give you ideas or help you look for the right size.

why dont you order the muffler portion of the exhaust from Thermal that has the round tip. then its hujust a matter of undoing the bolts at the muffler flange and swapping them out.

ya i saw the thermal with a round tip, were the thermals bolted at the axel?

that would work if thats possable

however i would no longer suggest cutting the exhaust..

Sean, can you send me a PM, i would like to know what you payed for that read bumper, because Extreme Dimentions is one of the companies i have wholesale pricing for..

also who did you buy it from?

yea sure kenny i'll find out how much i paid for it, i'll haveta break it down cuz i bought the whole bodykit so i paid one price for the whole kit, i bought it off www.psiconcept.com cause they were out of montreal so there was no brokerage fee for shipping!!! so kenny u don't think it'll look terrible with the current exhaust set up neways like its not perfectly round at the rear cut out neways i would rather not cut the exhaust up if it will work!!!
