Soo this is a funny question but I have been running a mild build n/a dohc with mp2 for so long that I do not remember what a mp3 feels like.
I switched to my winter engine which is 200k engine dohc with mp3 and at 110 my rmps are pushing just over 3000rpms. On the mp2 at 110 its only 2500rpms.
So am I low in power or is that the norm for a mp3.
Thanks!
-Andrew

Yup that's about right.
I remember about 3k @ 100kph.
5th is definetely a lot nicer with the MP3, but still not quite as powerful as 4th ;)

Well thanks guys now I am not so concerned.
Yea lots of pull for passing on the highway while staying in fifth compared to the mp2 but revs 500rpm higher!
But come spring when I swap my new motor in I am either going back to mp2 or just put the fifth gear from a mp2 onto the mp3

totaly normal. The mp3 has a decently shorter gear ratio. On a N/A Build i would also suggest running the mp3 all the time instead of the mp2. The mp2 n/a kinda makes it more doggy but, will get better highway mileage over the mp3. But, the mp3 will make a quicker in that zero to 60 range and in the 1/4 mile.
