I assume the DOHC and SOHC power steering reservoirs are completely different..mine cracked and leaks like a mofo. I'd have no problem rippin one out @ tha JY.. but the one I like to go to all the SOHC's have been STRIPPED.

Anyone have any input?

some SOHC didn't come with power steering, this is why they might be removed, the only way to tell is if the bracket is still on the engine, and the steering rack has two lines coming out of it. You can always convert your car to a non power steering, but that brings different problems

The mounting brackets are the difference, pumps the same. Just reuse your old mounting bracket. On some(maybe all not sure) of the twin cam pumps I have seen they have an extra feature to let more fluid through for easy turning when the car is at idle, but if you do not have that option not a big deal. I had that option but when my pump went put one from a sohc in and works just fine.

I have a power stearing resiviour from a 1997 SOHC if your interested?

$20 + shipping (or pickup)

actually the whole pump for $20 you can strip just the resiviour off, or if you dont want the whole thing i can send just the resiviour.

Theyre the same pump basically. SL1 was available with PS while the SL did not. SL2 uses an EVO pump which is basically the same pump with a valve in it that regulates the amount of power assist. A non EVO pump can go in the SL2 but you will obviously lose the bonus of having EVO and virtually manual steering at highway speeds (which is fun).

Went and got one from the JY for a twin cam last weekend for $10. Apparently they're all the same from 91-02...who woulda thunk it.
