yeah.........guess it is good if you have a huge stereo, but I don't think his bracket is strong enough and will probably fail in short time.

Ah. Looks like he cut into his support beams too... I'm not a fan of that.

same here, well I ain't pulling 1200 wrms, maybe 6-800ish wrms, and even then I am not seeing any dimming on my lights, maybe if we run mark/rudy's old 2500wrms amps we might need something like this.

My point was if the 1200 watts was a rating, or what the amps really put out.
Cheaper amps will not put out what they're rated for, so they won't draw as much power, so you won't get much dimming.

Unless you have huge power, you won’t need dual alternators. You would be better getting your alternator rewound to up the amps. My amp that I am currently running is over 1100 RMS (tested with proof, lol) and my light dim a little under higher volume and you can see my voltage gauge start to move, but never had any real problems or over drawing of power.

Very clever solution :)

I have a 1500 watt RF amp powering 2 12 @ 1 ohm and all i added was a yellow top(redid battery brackets myself) and a capcell. No need for extra alternator
