the short end of it is yes, its a money thing, the site has been running for about 4 years now with most of the fees comeing out of my pocket. there was 1 year there where some T shirts were sold and made a little money, but really the total income wasnt even enough for a years hosting / domain.

as of right now i am willing to host the site for anotehr year if there is interest, and a donation to cover the domain fees.

its not expensive, its just i dont really see much going on here naymore, and as much as i dont want the site die, i also don't want to pay for a dead site anymore

a donation of $20 will keep the site up and running for another year, but to be honest, i still want to slowly turn the site around by making it into a new site that is geared towards ALL car makes, not just a dead brand.

I beleive this will be a good thing for all involved, basically takign o6p and merging it with a new site (keeping all users and posts) and created a sub section for o6p.

any thoughts on this idea?

Sounds like a good plan.
There is a fair bit of good info on here, and for the saturn guys left when you need parts its nice to find em locally instead of some asshole in the states..
Having a new forum with o6p as a subforum is my vote.

I vote for a sub forum as well.

Like Andrew said, there are some real dicks on some of the forums south of the border. With the exception of one, I will not name any particular forums anyone who's been a around and knows them, knows who I am talking about.

Ok, so the site will start to go through some changes AFTER Oct 10th (I just dont have much time before then)

You may however see some stuff move around (forums moving and what not) no posts will be deleted I just migth start re-organizing the site, moving all Saturn Specific forums to a sub Forum.

As it stands right now, I beleive O6P will be phased out. I would like to keep the community alive, this is why a drastic change is in order.

Smurfdude50 and I were throwing names around and seemed to have come up with one pretty good one, but not exactly sure if its a go yet or not.

Does anyone have suggestions for a new name?

Not sure of a exact name, but maybe to attract people should have something that has "Southern Ontario" or "Niagara Region" Something that might attract more local people to join. Would make looking for local forums for people easier too.

Any updates on this? And when would you like some $$$ passed your way for the domain?

I have a domain name in mind, trying to see if its the best one to use.

If anyone has any suggestions i'd sure liek to hear some!

lets think of a good name before purchased..
And yes any donations towards a domain name are greatly appreciated. Once we decide on a name thats available we can discuss this on more detail.
