before you go and pay over a $1000 to get tranny work done or if you hane given up and thinkin about junkin the car check this out, if ya nothing to lose why not, hope this helps someone, and keeps another satty alive :)

and if that doesn't help, you can replace and re-torque your input shaft nut and buy a rebuilt valve body. $200 gets you a valve body with all the proper Sonax permanent rebuild parts installed. :) input shaft nut is a few bucks.

If you have a car that has the reverse slam, the longer you let it go on, the more it will be loosening that nut. Eventually it gets to the point where you will have to do the above. If you catch "reverse slam" early, you can do Wolfmans cure to clean out the valve body and prevent the input shaft nut from ever loosening, and prevent having to replace/rebuild the valve body.

Remember - change your auto tranny fluid and filter religiously
