If you need amazing water handling, my T1-S (replaced by the T1-R now) were absolutely great in the water. Even with 2mm of tread left, they were still great in the water, plus great dry handling.

Biggest drawback of them is the price. I will be replacing them with Kumho 712's for the DD this summer, so I will see how they compare.

I would like top notch rain performance, but then I know I lose on dry performance.... I havent heard good things about the T1S in the dry, and it's not in production anymore.

I was eyeballing the Goodyear F1-G3-DS, but unless I order online, it's way out of my price range. And it's narrower than any other tire im looking at :(

Oh we'll get the Vue doing high 16's for sure with a good tire and after you been to the track a few times.

The drag car shoudn't have a big issue reaching high 14's either.

ive used both... but in different sizes... the 712s i only had for a week and ive only got to drive on my spt's for 3 days...

spt's are supposed to be higher in the kumho line... i thought they were going to replace the 712s... but you figure ones got 5+ years new technology... the ratings when i was looking all around for a set were all very positive for the spts...

I looked into it, and it looks like the SPT are getting better reviews then the 712s. I'll probably pick up the SPTs instead, only $10 more per tire anyway.

I'm thinking about doing some road rallying in the Toronto club this year. It shouldn't be too expensive, no special equipment is required. Also, I'd like to go to Mosport's Victoria Day and Speedworld events in May and August.
