i'll go check otu the JCO, but what exactly are you talking about?

do you mean a place to that shows you the new posts? that is built into this software...

or do you mean a place to post for newbies?

i checked the JCO site, and i dont really see anything out of the ordinary over there, unless you have to be signed in, it appears as tho my username may have been purged from the site? or not transfered when they went to vbulletin

when you logon to the site, (or come back if you choose the always log me in option)

as your browsing the site, you'll see the icons are RED on the forums.. this means a new post...

if you click that forum, the topic's icon is also red..

there is no room to really put this feature you describe here.. i know what you mean, but since this site is ONLY a forum, no main page there is no where to put the "new posts" section without making the forums main page clutetred..

and since this feature IS built in to phpbb, there is no reason to re-add it ;)

use this legend as an example

On the Main Page located at http://www.our6thplanet.com there is a section that will show you all the new posts that were posted since the last time you were here.. It is however the exact same as what was mentioned before, just it only lists those new posts.

is this more what you were trying to describe?

it is a feature that is built into the portal page, so i decided to leave it.. that page is pretty much stock right now, except for the few changes ive made regardign Garage info, and sponsors (which isnt finished..)

Because an admin has to approve a post from you before anyone can see all of them. If nobody was online when you posted, it wouldn't get approved till the next day like yours. Good luck with the car and enjoy the board

the 10 posts is a precaution for our vetran members, if someone signs up here, and only posts in the forsale section to sell their stuff, i personally dont want them here, to me it seems liek teir sueing our members to make money, plus, trust is earned, not given freely, we dont want our members getting ripped off

your count shoudl be able to post now in the clasifieds area

You do know if you click the "View posts since last visit" on the forum main page, upper right hand corner (below the search) you'll be greeted with a page that shows nothing but new posts.
