I highly HIGHLY recommend getting Kicker subs, the CVR's are nice. Also, I recommend MTX's too, but I prefer the power of Kickers.

I have a single 10" Pioneer Champion Series Subwoofer (1000watts max and 400rms) and for the amp a Pioneer 800W Class D Mono Amplifier (GM-D7400M) (400watts rms bridge at 2 ohms and in a homaid box Image

1.4 cubes tuned to 45hz and i got a Pioneer MP3 CD Car Deck (DEH-P4000UB) and 2 pioneer 61/2 fornt door speakers i got all of this for 399 at futureshop and i have to say it's the loudest single 10 i herd.

1.4 ft/3 for a ten is a little overboard. The Pioneers call for .8-1.2 ft/3. It would probably sound even better in a smaller, better made box.

..and yes, i still have my satty, and all my audio in it as well... seems to be holding up great , even with a good pounding!

JL 13W7 in sealed JL box
JL 1000/1 amp
JL 450/4 amp
0 AWG wiring, no cap... and yellow top battery.
Alpine IVA-D310 headunit

Focal K2P fronts, JL VR rears

I am quite happy with everything, however, i preferred the JL ZR series for my fronts (until i blew them  )
